Just Done

We have had SO MANY thunderstorms here lately. We have one about once a week. We have constant severe weather warnings, and sometimes it rains as much as an inch in one hour. We get a few days respite between storms, but then another one comes. I hate the tornado watches. We haven't had one in a long time, but I still get anxious when we have storms. I miss days and days and days of sun and no rain. I miss it a lot. I miss being warm all year round, and never really having a winter coat because there wasn't much of a winter. I miss wearing flip flops at Christmas time. Some people love the seasons and love the cool weather. I am not one of them. So, if anyone can take our share of some of these storms, that would be great. Although we've been in a drought. Well, if we could have rain without all the wind, thunder and lightning, I think I could handle it a bit better. Any takers?????

Send some own way. I miss the smell of rain and the crazy way nature lights up the sky and rumbles in my chest and makes us huddle and be cozy with candles and watch the sky fall in sheets from the porch. Yeah I love cry weather. Kentucky and Illinois gave us lots of it.

I meant "crazy weather". Oops!

I love these big storms, and we've had tons of them this year, too. Lately, if I've been at home when they start, I get in my car and sit outside for a while. After my car dries off, it looks pretty close to having been washed. If nothing else, the storms are good for that. Oh, and my lawn looks great this year.

Sorry, not me. I love thunderstorms (except occasionally when I have to be driving somewhere in them!) I love the boom of the thunder and the majesty of the lightning, but most of all I love the water. I think that's a legacy of the many drought years we've had since we moved here, but I am so very thankful for rain anytime we get it. Especially this year, because I'm allowed to wash my car and fill up Michelle's pool, and we haven't been allowed to do that for the past several summers.

Sorry you dont like the storms, and they usually happen right before bed time. I've noticed too when it rains a lot that more bugs come in the house to get out of the rain!
But there is one fun thing to do when it storms :)

I've gotta admit, I'm a storm lover too. We've had a lot this summer too - for a while there we were getting one every afternoon. I love having four seasons (although I could live with a MUCH shorter winter. Like 2 days would be great.)
